One last airport related post 9
I’d like to let you in on a little game I play in airports. It goes a little something like this: you find the Swarovski store, you enter, and you ask them if they have any crystal dinosaurs. After all, a crystal dinosaur might look quite elegant at the head of the evolution chain of plastic dinosaurs.
Usually the responses have been hillarious, everything from “No, we should get some next month,” to “I think they have them in terminal 4″. Hillarious mainly, because the salesperson is clearly always bluffing or lying, and also because it’s hard to ask with a straight face.
But voila, in Heathrow Airport (snuggled right behind a crystal Little Mermaid) they actually had TWO dinosaurs. One I thought looked like a giraffe and the other suspiciously similar to a dragon. The salesperson said “NO, it’s a dinosaur”, and at £69 she should really know.
What do you think? Is this thing a dino or a dragon? Cast your votes please.

It’s clearly a dinosaur – dragons have wings! Looks like a cartoon cross between a stegosaurus and a baby diplodocus, but then it *is* in Crystal!
Hope you had a nice trip and that home is nice to you :-)
We’ve had all our staff on this one, called in onextraordinary weekend duty. Much is at stake here. In depth investigations have proven that the creature indeed is a dino – called a Dino by Swarovski him/herself. We’ll mail documentation of this through safe channels – also we’ve uncovered a dragon at Swarovski. Given these facts is must be said that this dino surely looks like a dragon leading to the conclusion that you’ve uncovered a Dragodinocita.
I’m pretty sure that dinosaur is modeled on Dino from the Flintstones.
Dino!
i think it’s a lady dragon becasue of the colors or maybe the fact that its crystal makes it look more femenine…and i love your game. i’m going to try it as well.
xoxo
is a punkasaurus fashionista. Swaroski is so in!
What was the name of the dino-Dog in The Flinstons….? hummmm
Hm, it’s a close call, but I think it’s safe to say “most experts agree…” the crystal creature is a dinosaur. Other suggestions include a cartoon dog (named Dino) and a lady dragon.
To celebrate, I’ve replaced my own grainy photo, with a pirated official Swarowski one. Now how do we get them to send me one free, so I can review it?
The name of the dog is Dino. Bling!
