Itty bitty Europasaurus 2
“German fossil was a dwarf version of the largest dinosaurs.”
6 metres still seems big to me.

Why hunt alone when you can hunt in flocks? Like birds of a feather, giant carnivorous dinosaurs used to stick together. At least it seems this newly discovered species did.
Another newly discovered dinosaur from Utah might not be the biggest, but it’s the one that most resembles a turkey.
Pretty amazing they keep finding the bones of these things.
Who would have thought a humble obsession with plastic dinosaurs was a good way to make friends? A stranger from the internet googled himself and found a link to his project on my blog. He thanked me for the link and said:
“My big question is about your plastic dinosaurs. I had a huge collection when I was a kid which has since migrated into my mother’s mixed media sculptures and are no longer available to me. You had a link on your site that had some really nice photos with white backgrounds. If it’s ok with you, I’d like to use those photos in a video project I’m doing in a couple weeks.”
At this point in time, I guess I better write a disclaimer. Most of the dinosaur images on this site are from a .gov domain in Utah, and I have never actually asked them for permission to copy them. I kind of figured it was fair use and they wouldn’t care. Now I’ve been shamed into public admission. I promise to write and ask for permission.
As a child, my new friend was a much more serious collector than I ever was. His collection was even accorded newspaper and television fame:
“Yeah I was a pretty nerdy kid and kind of obsessed with dinosaurs at a young age. I was even on Captain Kangaroo (well – actually a local tv segment just *after* the show, but close enough) and a couple of newspapers showcasing my collection.”
Then his mother started stealing his dinosaurs for her own art. But he admits they were neglected at that point. And now he is very successful in his own right and doesn’t need them. But I can tell he’s a little jealous of mine.
