Friends, please fill out the openDemocracy survey about the website and the war in Iraq. One lucky respondent will win $100 in Amazon.com vouchers.

No, not me. But my good friend James. Bill Thompson and I went to Boston to show our support, and gleefully pretended to be his parents. Harvard graduates are so polite, sometimes they just nodded and smiled when they really must have been thinking, you must be shitting me. It rained a lot. And Harvard seemed a little less grand, wet. Luckily lunch was packed in waterproof plastic boxes. And the cellist had never been hired. The champagne never ordered. Kennedy School of Government cheapskates. There are lots of pictures, on my Flickr, and more on Bill’s.
Congratulations James. Officially smart.
I love the internet. And the Creative Commons. It seems my last article on the World Social Forum has been picked up by the journal of the Social Scientists’ Association in Colombo, Sri Lanka. I don’t know really know who they are, but it’s definitely exotic enough to brag about. I should write another one.
I received this in an anonymous valentine’s email today signed by an “ardent admirer”
Would anyone like to help me bemuse my secret admirer by guessing who he is? Although I know only one person who wears white suits so proudly. This is also an opportunity for the women of the world to let me know how many others he sent the email to.
I lost the contents of my entire hard drive this weekend. As difficult as this has been to deal with, it’s provided me with a little extra time to create this blog. It is still ugly but someday I hope to fix that. Yes we should all make frequent backups.
